Nairobi National Park lies just a stone’s throw away from the vibrant city of Nairobi. This timeless gem was established in 1946.It is the only national park in the world that borders a major city.
The Dalphine Sheldrick elephant orphanage is situated near Nairobi national park. This is home
to young elephants that have been rescued from the parks all over Kenya after their mother’s
die due to poaching or diseases. Its open from 11Am to 12pm and you can enjoy seeing them
being fed with milk and other food.
They are well taken care and given every medical attention that they need. Later when they
grow they are taken to national parks where they can survive at a closer check by the game
wardens.
