Depart from Wilson Airport in Nairobi for your flight to Samburu National Reserve. Upon arrival, you will be met by your driver-guide and transferred to your lodge or camp, enjoying a scenic drive through the reserve along the way.
In the afternoon, explore Samburu’s breathtaking landscapes, characterized by vast open plains, dry riverbeds (depending on the season), and striking volcanic outcrops. The Ewaso Nyiro River, which flows through the reserve, sustains an abundance of wildlife including elephants, lions, leopards, Grevy’s zebras, and reticulated giraffes.
Return to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay, surrounded by the tranquil sounds of the African wilderness.
Spend a full day exploring Samburu National Reserve with morning and afternoon excursions in search of the region’s diverse wildlife. This area is home to the rare Samburu Special Five — species unique to northern Kenya. Watch crocodiles basking along the riverbanks, observe velvet monkeys in the acacia trees, and experience the raw beauty of Samburu’s landscapes.
Later, visit a Samburu village for an authentic cultural interaction, learning about the traditions, customs, and daily life of the Samburu people.
Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
After a leisurely breakfast, check out and transfer to the airstrip for your scheduled flight back to Nairobi. Upon arrival, you will be met and transferred to your hotel or onward destination, marking the end of your memorable Samburu adventure.
