Upon arrival you will embark on your first afternoon game drive among towering baobabs and ancient rock kopjes, with elephant, zebra, buffalo, giraffe, lion and an extraordinary variety of birds all likely to appear before the day is done.
The morning will begin with an early game drive through Tarangire, weaving between baobabs and acacias to seek out large ground-dwelling birds, raptors soaring over the dry plains, and the rare African wild dog. For calving season and dense predator activity, January to March is excellent, particularly around the southern Serengeti.
